We are delighted to introduce SPES, a subscription-based digital newsletter designed to support youth group leaders, confirmation catechists, and all those working with young people in schools and parishes within the Archdiocese of Port of Spain. The name Spes means “hope” in Latin, reflecting the newsletter’s purpose: to inspire, support, and equip ministry leaders as they guide the next generation of the Church.

“Spes” means hope, and that is exactly what we strive to offer. Whether you’re a youth group leader, a confirmation catechist, or someone working with young people in schools or parishes, SPES is here to help you enhance your ministry and strengthen your formation.

Each issue of SPES provides a wealth of in-person and virtual resources to enhance your ministry and deepen your formation. Subscribers will benefit from:

  • Invitations to workshops, retreats, and training opportunities tailored to ministry leaders.

Our goal is simple: to bring hope to our Catholic youth leaders by equipping them with the tools they need to foster faith, understanding, and community among the young people they serve. We believe that by supporting our leaders, we support the future of our Church.

Subscription Options and Costs
SPES offers two flexible subscription plans:
  • Personal Subscription: Ideal for individuals seeking to grow their ministry skills.

          Cost: $10 TTD per month or $100 TTD annually.

  • Parish Subscription: Perfect for parishes providing resources to entire ministry teams.

          Cost: $300 TTD annually, granting access to unlimited users within the parish community.

Where Your Subscription Goes
Your subscription directly supports the stipending of volunteers who dedicate their time and expertise to compile, write, and design the content for SPES. Additionally, SPES is supported by EQ Saints Access, ensuring that the resources provided are grounded in Catholic teaching and the needs of today’s youth ministry leaders.
